Leaving On A Jet Plane

The following report of a female Emperor in the departure lounge at Gatwick was received by UK Butterflies this morning, from Tim Webb. It is believed that the insect was spotted beyond Passport Control, but as yet her destination is unknown. Congratulations to Tim's son.

"Hi,
my son saw and photographed this inside one of the walkways at Gatwick Airport.
It looks like a White Admiral with a pair of orange and black eyes on the wings?
Can anyone shed any light on this please?
thanks"
